Peptide API Manufacturing Technologies
SYNCSOL® is a unique Peptide LPPS technology platform that is comprised of R-Coupling® (Unprotected Amino Acid Coupling Technology) and SIPS® (New Silyl Group Organic Tagging Technology).
While in a normal SPPS, Fmoc protected amino acid is supported in solid phase and the Fmoc protected amino acid is sequentially elongated from the C-terminal, with R-Coupling®, amino acid is elongated from the N-terminal with unprotected amino acid. By using amino acid with unprotected group, raw material cost can be significantly reduced and process time can be reduced since deprotection process becomes unnecessary for each condensation. On the other hand, in SIPS® C-terminal or N-terminal is protected by silyl group that suppresses side reaction and improves physical property at the same time. High quality Peptide intermediates can be obtained by liquid separation or crystallization only.
By using the SYNCSOL® that is comprised of R-Coupling® and SIPS®, significant reduction of raw material costs, improved quality of pre-purification Peptides and reduction in purification workload can be realized. This technology was developed through joint development by PeptiDream Inc. and Nissan Chemical corporation, and Peptistar received licensing for this patented technology and plans to actively pursue the application of this technology.
